Why do I exercise regularly, and why do I think you should too.

Bit of background

I do weight lifting to get my weekly dose of exercise. Before lifting weights, I was a 50kg skinny guy who could easily get blown away by a strong wind. I went from 50kg to 85kg muscular guy by following an intense unsustainable high-calorie diet. Now I’m sitting at a healthy 70kg with simple, clean eating without using any weight gaining supplements (Mass gainers, protein supplements, etc.)

Why I started

Of course, I started to achieve a good physique and strength.

What I got out of it

However, over the years of my training, I realised going to the gym and exercising have given me more than just a better physique. It taught me the value of:

  • being persistent and constancy
  • goal setting and how to set realistic goals
  • building mental strength to keep going even when things get hard
  • patience

Why I think you should exercise regularly too

Those values mentioned above are constantly used in my life daily, regardless of what I am doing. It could be work, personal goals, starting this blog, whatever it may be. If you feel like you are stuck in life, start exercising. It will not only help you with the above, but you will also begin to look better, feel better, and be more energetic too.
